Humphreys County, TENNESSEE – According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 6:15 a.m. Friday.
It happened on Interstate 40, near mile marker 145.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that a male driver driving his vehicle in the wrong direction crashed into another vehicle.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he later died.
The female driver in the vehicle that was hit was taken to a hospital for treatement.
The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
