Springfield, TENNESSEE – According to the Springfield Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday.
It happened at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.
Springfield Police Department officers responded to a report of a carjacking.
The responding officers discovered that the suspect was discharged from the hospital and video surveillance shows him approaching an elderly woman in a white Toyota Camry.
He then forced her to exit the vehicle and drove off in it.
He was later identified as Jacob Brannon Patton.
Authorities are looking for 2002 Toyota Camry with Tennessee tag 588OWW.
