Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 5 a.m. Thursday.
It happened on 13th Ave South.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that the 51-year-old victim was reportedly walking in the intersection when he was hit by a Dodge Charger.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
He was later identified as Roger Freels.
Metro Police said the driver of the vehicle reported that he did not see the victim as he was turning left onto the I-40 East entrance ramp.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
This incident remains under investigation.
