Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the shooting occurred on Tuesday.
It happened on 3rd Avenue South at Molloy Street downtown.
MNPD officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.
Police said the 31-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The unidentified victim reportedly underwent surgery and is now in stable condition.
The 22-year-old suspect, later identified as Adonis Washington, is homeless and is considered to be armed, officials said.
The shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument over money the victim allegedly owed and Washington will be charged with attempted criminal homicide.
