Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the statement, students at Belmont University will start the semester on Jan. 5.
They’ll be fully remote until in-person classes resume on Jan. 18, officials said.
Residence halls will also remain closed until Jan. 15.
This comes as the Omicron variant fuels COVID-19 infections across Tennessee and the rest of the U.S.
The University will be providing room and board refunds for residential students through January 15 based on this schedule change.
Campus leaders will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and shift or evolve plans as needed based on trends and insights from local, state and federal public health officials.
