Nashville, TENNESSEE – Police officials said the fatal two-vehicle accident occurred around 6:41 p.m. Wednesday evening.
It happened at the intersection of Ashland City Highway and Old Hickory Boulevard.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 47-year-old driver of Hyundai Hatchback was driving westbound on Ashland City Highway when he collided with an eastbound Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The 59-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger pickup truck was reportedly turning left onto Old Hickory Boulevard when the collision occurred.
The 47-year-old driver of the Hyundai Hatchback suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Bobby Raines Jr.
The 42-year-old passenger of the Hyundai Hatchback suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
He was later identified as Jason Clouse.
The 59-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger pickup truck suffered minor injuries, Metro Police said.
He was later identified as Terry Bohanon.
This incident remains under investigation.
