Nashville, TENNESSEE – MNPD officials said the shooting occurred on Thursday.
It happened in the Napier-Sudekum neighborhood.
Metro Police said the 13-year-old victim suffered a a non-critical graze wound and was driven to the hospital by his mom.
During an interview with investigators, the victim said that he and a friend had gone to play basketball at an outdoor court when the gunfire started.
Three suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
21-year-old Alhagie Camara is charged with felony reckless endangerment and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon.
21-year-old Ronald Tibbs is charged with felony reckless endangerment and unlawful gun possession.
19-year-old Dartanyan Loney is charged withfelony reckless endangerment and unlawful gun possession. Felony oxycodone and marijuana charges will also be served on Loney, prosecutors said.
Search warrants were executed on two Napier apartments. The responding officers reportedly recovered six guns, numerous magazines, a ballistic vest and varying amounts of drugs.
