Nashville, TENNESSEE – Metro Police said the 30-year-old suspect reportedly surrendered himself on Thursday after a friend recognized him from televised reports.
His name is Devonte Chadwick and he is now charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in lieu of $85,000 bond, MNPD officials said.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old man reportedly robbed the Mapco at 2101 Murfreesboro Pike.
After asking the clerk for cigarettes, he came around the counter armed with a handgun.
Chadwick reportedly took $40 cash from the register and packages of Newport cigarettes.
This incident remains under investigation.
