Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the fatal shooting occurred Tuesday evening.
It happened in the 200 block of Monroe Street.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.
Police said the 47-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the fatal shooting involved a domestic incident between the 47-yr-old victim and a 48-yr-old woman.
The woman is in police custody and is being interviewed, Metro Police said.
Their identities have not yet been released.
