Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department officials, the victim has been identified as 44-year-old Michael Brown.
This unfortunate incident occurred right after 5 p.m. Monday afternoon.
The preliminary investigation shows that Brown was attempting to cross Elm Hill Pike near the railroad tracks when he was struck by the driver of an eastbound 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe, Andreal Brooks, 43, of Goodlettsville.
Brooks reported that he was unable to avoid the collision. Brown was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement in this fatal crash. Brooks was charged with driving on a suspended license and for not possessing insurance.
