Nashville, TENNESSEE – Metro Police said the 31-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Sunday.
His name is Daniel Beasley and he is now charged with aggravated assault.
This incident occurred near the corner of Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way.
The unidentified victim told investigators that Beasley came up from behind and struck him in the face several times with a metal pipe.
The victim was reportedly able to get away and run into a bar for help.
The responding officers spoke with witness on the scene, who reportedly confirmed the attack.
