Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, his name is Jeffery Allen and he was arrested on Friday.
Metro police said the 51-year-old man had an outstanding felony warrant for violating probation.
The 911 caller reported a suspicious person sleeping in a vehicle in the driveway of the home located on Lakeland Drive.
The responding officers said the 51-year-old man was still asleep in the driver’s seat.
They knocked on the window and ordered him out of the car.
Allen then put the vehicle in gear and sped through the backyard.
During the car chase, the responding officers said the 51-year-old man reportedly tossed multiple items out of the vehicle.
He then pulled onto the right shoulder and surrendered to officers.
The responding officers found glass bongs, pipes, a magazine with ten bullets and a scale.
The 51-year-old man was arrested on vandalism and evading arrest charges.
