Nashville, TENNESSEE – MNPD officials said the fatal crash occurred on Tuesday.
It happened on Antioch Pike.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 62-year-old bicyclist was heading towards oncoming traffic when he lost control of his bike and struck the side of a stopped box truck.
The 62-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
He was later identified as Raul Zepeda-Lozano.
Metro Police said the box truck did not remain on scene.
It remains unclear if the driver was aware the vehicle was struck.
This incident remains under investigation.
