Clarksville, TN – According to the Clarksville Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
It happened on I-24 Eastbound.
Clarksville Police Department officers and Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that an SUV sideswiped a semi-truck.
The SUV then ran off the roadway and caught on fire.
The driver fled the scene and authorities are currently searching for the driver.
Clarksville Fire Department crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
This incident remains under investigation.
