Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the fatal shooting occurred Tuesday night.
It happened at a storage unit on Monroe Street Tuesday night.
A 48-year-old female was taken into custody following the shooting.
The woman claimed the 47-year-old victim, later identified as Carlos Washington, reportedly put her in a chokehold during an argument in their car.
The woman retrieved her firearm and shot Washington once before getting out of the vehicle, Metro Police said.
The investigative findings will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office.
