Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the four-vehicle fatal crash occurred in the 8800 block of Highway 100.
Metro Police said the 67-year-old victim, later identified as Dell Clark, was driving a Honda Accord outbound on Highway 100.
A Chrysler minivan attempted to pass the Honda and a Ford F-250 pickup truck, clipping the rear of the pickup truck in the process.
The van then spun out of control and collided with the Honda and a Mercury Grand Marquis sedan.
All of the other parties received non-life threatening injuries with the exception of the minivan driver, 40-year-old Jeremy King, who was taken to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
There was no indication at the scene of alcohol or drug involvement.
This incident remains under investigation.
