Nashville, TENNESSEE – Metro Police said the shooting occurred right after 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
It happened on Old Hickory Boulevard W and Heritage Drive.
MNPD officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they discovered that the 28-year-old victim was reportedly driving west on Old Hickory Boulevard and approaching Heritage Drive when the driver of Dodge Challenger pulled up alongside him.
The victim attempted to speed off but was stopped by a red light on Heritage Drive where the two men exchanged words before a male passenger in the Dodge Challenger fired a gun, striking the victim who is in stable condition.
The victim has six outstanding warrants for his arrest on domestic assault and failure to appear charges and will be taken into custody upon his discharge from the hospital.
The victim and the shooter reportedly knew each other.
