Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, his name is Jerome Jenkins and he was taken into custody on Sunday.
Metro Police said the 53-year-old suspect is now charged with attempted criminal homicide and resisting arrest.
On Oct. 21, MNPD officers responded to a shooting call.
Investigators said the victim was walking through Hadley Park when the suspect came up from behind and shot him in the left hip.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
MNPD officers located the suspect in the Buchanan Street area and said he struggled for several minutes before he was taken into custody.
