Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday.
It happened on Old Hickory Boulevard near Owen Drive.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 42-year-old man was driving his Ford F-150 southbound on Old Hickory Boulevard when he entered a curve in the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines, and crashed head-on into a northbound Nissan Rogue.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The 51-year-old driver of the Nissan Rogue, later identified as Anthony Birge, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
There was evidence of alcohol involvement in the Ford F-150.
Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment played a role in this fatal crash, Metro Police said.
