According to the court documents, the 54-year-old woman is now charged with poisoning food or water with intent to kill or injure a person. Prosecutors said the woman reportedly confessed to the responding officers about poisoning her boyfriend. The woman reportedly said: “Yeah, I did it … because he wouldn’t shut the (expletive) up. I gave him just enough to shut him up and called y’all so he wouldn’t die.”
The 54-year-old woman from Florida, Alvis Lorraine Parrish, and her boyfriend, William Carter, had been dating for nine years. On Dec. 7, deputies and EMS personnel arrived at the couple’s home and found the 54-year-old woman sitting on her front porch, according to reports.
The woman reportedly said: “Yeah, I did it … because he wouldn’t shut the (expletive) up. I gave him just enough to shut him up and called y’all so he wouldn’t die.”
The woman also told authorities that she would kill her boyfriend if officers did not arrest her. “Do whatever you want. If you don’t take me, I will kill him.” the woman reportedly said.
The responding deputies found the victim. They said the victim was extremely lethargic. He reportedly said that he did not know why he was feeling so tired. He declined to go to the hospital but had a hard time finishing domestic battery paperwork because he was so tired.
The boyfriend told deputies that his lemonade tasted weird.
The responding deputies located the bottle of lemonade, which contained a powdery substance at the bottom of the bottle.
Deputies said the woman put Seroquel, an antipsychotic drug, in the drink of her boyfriend. Seroquel is an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression.
