Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred on Friday.
It happened on Interstate 440.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 78-year-old woman left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead.
The woman was later identified as Donna Ethridge.
This incident remains under investigation.
