According to FOX13, someone called their newsroom and said that he was the teacher in the video – Christopher Jennings. The caller reportedly said that there’s more to the video.
The teacher also said that students allegedly try to ‘bait educators’ into cursing and fighting with them. Jennings also said that this student had walked up on him several times with clenched fists in a threatening manner and that he had backed off and even asked the principal to remove the boy from his class.
Unfortunately, by the time the school officials arrived, everything had already happened, Jennings reportedly said.
Jennings said that he used the wrench in class and didn’t have it because of the student.
But, when FOX13 asked him why did he said: “He’s lucky I didn’t bust him in the ***** head with it”, he reportedly said that he overreacted when another student asked him about it.
The teacher is on leave until MSCS officials finish investigating this incident.
The school district released a statement and said that they are aware of the incident and are investigating.
The student’s mother told FOX13 that she’s in the process of filing charges against Jennings.
