The 28-year-old man told investigators that he was jealous of the relationship between the victim and his girlfriend.
The couple from Oklahoma, 25-year-old Brinlee Denison and 28-year-old Nicholas Johnson, reportedly used a crowbar to beat the 29-year-old victim, Sarah Maguire, in her home on Jan. 4, according to reports.
Authorities said both suspects are facing charges of first-degree murder and vehicle theft, according to the police officials.
The responding officers responded to the victim’s residence around 5:10 p.m. on Friday. They reportedly found the 29-year-old victim unresponsive in her living room. Maguire had obvious signs of trauma to her head and face and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.
Investigators discovered that the victim’s car and her credit cards were stolen. Denison and Johnson were arrested the next day when they were found sleeping in the stolen vehicle in Arkansas, according to reports.

The 28-year-old man reportedly told investigators that he and Denison were in an intimate relationship. He said that Denison was also in a relationship with Maguire. He reportedly told investigators that he was jealous of the relationship between the victim and Denison.
Johnson also said that he and Denison reportedly had intercourse in the victim’s bed while they heard her struggling to live in the next room. He also said that he knew Maguire was still alive. The 28-year-old man also told investigators that Denison helped him plan the murder. They used the victim’s credit cards to transfer funds to their own accounts.
In a Facebook post, the victim’s sister reportedly wrote.
“Our family has suffered a devastating blow this week. My sister Sarah has lost her life in a senseless act of violence. Please keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through this time. Rest assured justice is being served and we owe our greatest debt of gratitude to the Tulsa Police Department.”
