Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and first lady Maria Lee announced on Wednesday the state’s holiday plans for annual events.
“Christmas at the Capitol” is set to take place on Monday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. This year’s celebration will feature a handbell choir performance along with a tree lighting ceremony. The Christmas tree for this year was donated by Sherry Willhelm and her family in Franklin.
A virtual holiday tour of the Tennessee Residence will be available online in the coming weeks.
The governor’s office is hoping to promote virtual events this year during the Christmas holidays to maintain social distancing and keep residents safe.
