22-year-old woman arrested as accessory in November courthouse shooting

Nashville, TN – Rickora A. Walker, 22, has been arrested on a charge of being an accessory after the fact in connection with a November 10 shooting outside the Justice A. A. Birch Courthouse on 2nd Avenue North.

Authorities said Walker was taken into custody at her workplace. She admitted to driving the Dodge SUV from which shots were fired during the incident, but declined to identify the shooter or any passengers in the vehicle.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. on November 10 in the cutout driveway in front of the courthouse. A 50-year-old woman suffered a minor shoulder wound while seated as a passenger in a car stopped in the driveway. According to police, Walker drove the SUV behind the victim’s vehicle. After the victim exited her car in response to a sounding horn, shots were fired from the SUV. Walker then fled the scene. The vehicle was later recovered and impounded from an apartment complex in Goodlettsville.

Police officials said the investigation to identify the person who fired the shots remains ongoing. No further arrests have been announced at this time.
