Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, this incident occurred Thursday night.
It happened on Belmont Boulevard.
MNPD officers responded to a report of a carjacking.
The responding officers discovered that both suspects, 13-year-old and 15-year-old, were in the back of the victim’s Toyota Venza as she drove away from a nearby store.
The victim noticed the boys in her backseat and quickly exited the vehicle.
As she ran away from the vehicle, the victim had the key fob in her pocket, so the Venza became disabled.
The pair got out and fled on foot.
Shortly after, someone call 911 and said a young male was underneath his deck.
The 13-year-old was located there and was quickly apprehended.
Investigators located the 15-year-old in a wooded area.
During an interview with detectives, the 13-year-old admitted the pair drove a Nissan Altima, reported stolen in Clarksville, to Belmont Boulevard.
The two teens decided to steal another car in fear police were following them.
The 15-year-old is charged with felony carjacking and felony theft.
The 13-year-old is charged with felony carjacking, felony theft and evading arrest.
Their identities have not been released due to their age.
