Nashville, TENNESSEE – Metro Nashville Police Department officials said the fatal crash occurred Thursday morning.
It happened on Apache Trail.
MNPD officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian.
The responding officers discovered that the driver of Ford Focus was traveling east along a slight right curve when the 31-year-old victim, later identified as Kentarius Carpenter, ran across the roadway.
The 31-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
There were no signs of impairment at the scene, Metro Police said.
