Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the 22-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Friday.
Her name is Timethia Bryant and she is now charged with attempted murder.
Metro Police said the 22-year-old woman was wanted for the April 30 shooting of her deceased grandmother’s 75-year-old boyfriend inside his Meridian Street residence.
The victim told investigators that the suspect reportedly came to his home asking about her grandmother’s jewelry.
Once the victim and the suspect were in the bedroom where the jewelry was located, the 22-year-old suspect allegedly produced a handgun and shot him multiple times.
Bryant then fled the scene and he called 911.
He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Bryant is being held on $100,000 bond.
