Nashville, TENNESSEE – Metro Police said the 13-year-old student, who was not identified by the authorities, was taken into custody on Thursday.
This incident occurred at the Hunters Lane High School.
The victim reportedly said that the 13-year-old suspect pointed a .45 caliber handgun at him in the cafeteria.
Hunters Lane administrative staff searched the 13-year-old and found the loaded weapon in her purse with seven bullets, including one round in the chamber, Metro Police said.
The student advised the handgun belonged to her mother and told school resource officers she wanted to scare the student because she was upset with him.
She is charged in juvenile court with aggravated assault and carrying a gun on school property.
