Nashville, TENNESSEE – MNPD officials said the 24-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Thursday.
His name is Redear Haji and police officials say he reportedly shot and killed 33-year-old Amanda McComb.
Haji is now charged with criminal homicide.
The shooting occurred on Jan. 27.
It happened in the 100 block of Evelyn Drive.
The 33-year-old victim was reportedly killed during a burglary.
The 24-year-old man reportedly old investigators that he retrieved his handgun after finding the victim inside his garage.
The suspect told investigators that he fired at the victim after she climbed out an open window and turned to face him while reaching for something.
But, MNPD officials said that surveillance video from a neighboring residence shows the victim running away when she was shot.
No weapons were found on her, police said.
The 24-year-old suspect is being held without bond.
