Lebanon, TENNESSEE – Lebanon Police Department officials said this unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday.
It happened at Don Fox Park.
Lebanon Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult female victim.
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to her leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities said the victim was reportedly trying to remove the weapon from her coat pocket and accidentally discharged it.
