The 12-year-old then began firing his gun into the victim’s car as the teen backed up.
The 17-year-old then grabbed his own gun, fired one shot through his windshield and struck the 12-year-old boy.
The 17-year-old fled the scene, according to reports.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the 17-year-old faced any charges as a result of the incident.
Police officials said the 12-year-old was treated in a hospital for his gunshot wound and was taken into custody after being discharged.
