Nashville, TENNESSEE – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, his name is Terreze Holbrooks and he was arrested on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old man is now charged with aggravated assault, felony possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance without a license.
During an interview with investigators, the suspect reportedly admitted to shooting the victim.
The shooting occurred outside of Swetts Market on Monday.
The 22-year-old suspect pointed a gun at the woman.
Metro Police said the victim’s arm was rolled up in the window of his vehicle and the woman was dragged across the parking lot.
The victim was then shot in her arm and leg.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect had the 9mm pistol he used in the shooting and 87 grams of marijuana, Metro Police said.
Holbrooks admitted to shooting the victim after he claimed she assaulted his girlfriend, police say.
Holbrooks is being held on a $30,000 bond.
