Nashville, TENNESSEE – MNPD officials said the fatal accident occurred Friday morning.
It happened at 6572 Nolensville Pike.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 29-year-old driver of Nissan Frontier overcorrected, entered the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a driveway culvert before a tree.
Police officials said the 29-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Phillip Roe.
The truck had extensive damage due to the crash and subsequent fire.
There were no signs of impairment at the scene.
